Peter Ratcliff BSc FRICS

Peter has over 30 years experience in retail property investment and development throughout the UK.

Following early stints at the Greater London Council, United Drapery Stores (a 2000 branch multiple retailer), DE&J Levy and Molyneux Rose, he joined the partnership at Blair Kirkman in the early 90’s.

The business grew to over 20 people and Peter was instrumental in the sale of that business to Savills in 2006 – a record multiplier on earnings for such a business

Peter continues to act for a wide range of institutions and Plc clients with assets in most towns and cities in the UK.

His expertise encompasses food store funding and development; residential development; high street and shopping centre investment acquisition and disposal and asset enhancement.

Peter established Beechmount Estates to undertake development and asset enhancement projects on his own account and in joint venture and to provide a platform for consultancy/advisory work with an emphasis on asset engineering.

Asset engineering is the process of maximising property value by understanding all the risks of retail and residential property assets. This can, but does not necessarily, include brick on brick development. It may require planning/change of use/refurbishment/extension/re-letting/sub-dividing/amalgamation depending on perceived best value of each and every element of the property.

Properties are unique and a different solution will be appropriate in each instance.

The development management/consultancy service provided by Beechmount Estates is of benefit to investment property owners and also retailers looking to maximise the value from their assets.

To illustrate the breadth of the projects that Peter has handled, a small selection of case studies is attached.
